CAMO-PART M REGULATORY TRAINING
Regulatory training on Part-M continuing airworthiness management for Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMO).
Objectives
- Familiarisation with ICAO, EASA, the EU aviation legal framework and the CAW regulations applicable to air carriers.
- Knowledge of the general structure of EC Implementing Regulation 1321/2014 and the applicability of EASA Part-M, Part-ML, Part-CAMO or Part-CAO.
- Detailed knowledge of EASA Part-M general requirements, the role of the competent authority, and the responsibilities of personnel involved in continuing airworthiness activities, including maintenance.
- Detailed knowledge of continuing airworthiness processes, requirements and standards, including the applicable requirements for a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).
- Detailed knowledge of the requirements and procedures related to Airworthiness Reviews (AR).
Syllabus
Unit 1 — Regulation framework for CAW (IR 1321/2014)
ICAO and EASA roles, the EU aviation regulatory framework and the applicability of IR 1321/2014.
Unit 2 — EASA Part-M overview and structure
Structure of Part-M, its sections for organisations/personnel and for the competent authority.
Unit 3 — Part-M Subparts A & B — Responsibilities
Scope, responsibilities and occurrence reporting obligations, and competent authority duties.
Unit 4 — Part-M Subpart C — Continuing airworthiness
Maintenance programme, airworthiness directives, modifications, repairs and technical records.
Unit 5 — Part-CAMO — CAME
CAMO approval and validity, management system, facilities, personnel and the CAME.
Unit 6 — Airworthiness review
AR procedures, validity, transfer of aircraft registration and competent authority findings.
Unit 7 — Part-M Subparts D, E & H
Maintenance standards, components and certificates of release to service.
Unit 8 — Additional course information
Overview of Part-T, recap of key concepts and latest regulatory changes (NPA).
